Steve Jobs Poster
Still a little weirded out that Steve Jobs stopped breathing. Here is a little tribute poster I designed while taking a break from some work.
The Basic Principles of Design 3

The Basic Principles of Design 3 is divided into three-sections, first Material Studies, second Textile Design and third Color 2. Memory drawing is taught by Hutter J. “Tactual sensitivity and fantasy are the goals of this course: students are stimulated by manipulating and working the materials as form and expression. Unbiased experimentation, spontaneous perception of chance occurrences and their consequent development produce new, surprising possibilities that are unpredictable intellectually.
The second section is textile design taught by Hernandez-Moor L./Kern U.”The aim of this course is to discover expressive rhythmical qualities of various textile materials; the interrelation of texture, color, and form; and the adequate techniques ( embroidery, weaving, knotting, macrame, looping, tie-dyeing, applique).”
The third section is Color 2 taught by Gautschi R. / Pola P. “The course is structured with these concepts: color consistency (watery, dry, glossy, opaque, impasto), means of expression ( brushes, treatments, painting surfaces), formal qualities (shape, line, point, texture), color qualities ( bright, dull, warm, cool, tone), composition (many-few, large-small, long-short, light-dark), and combinations of the preceding sections.
Logology2

Logology® 2, as its predecessor Logology®, presents a collection of cases studies of logos created for brands all over the world. In total, 13 cases are analyzed following different steps: first the assignment on the part of the client, then an explanation of the idea’s conception, followed by the solution and final implementation. All of these points are analyzed, from the form, structure, tools and details of the logo’s design.
Furthermore, Logology® 2 proposes a gallery of more than 1600 logos specifically separated and divided into 78 categories that form a large compilation of ideas to be of service to all.

The Official Urbanized Poster

Feast your eyes upon the official Urbanized poster, designed by the always industrious folks at Build. It’s two-sided, 27″ x 40″, and remixes some of the iconography Build created for the Urbanized limited-edition silkscreen prints.
Process Journal :: Edition Five

Process Journal Edition Five is the first edition to feature our design update. Comprising of a more flexible grid, updated captioning, new contents page and a brand new cover, the updated design still stays true to our original objective: ‘capturing beautiful work in a printed publication that allows the design to do the talking’. We feel these changes have made it that little bit easier to read and a touch more refined. As part of the update, we have also revised our structure. Now comprising two essays, ten interview features and two written profiles, we feel this adjusted structure allows us to include a greater diversity of content and assists us in defining what Process is really about.
Edition Five contributors include: Christopher Doyle, Thomas Williams, Farrow, Aesop, Winkreative, Moving Brands, Holt Design, Gavillet & Rust, HORT, The International Office, L2M3, Xavier Encinas and Research & Development.
